WOMEN’S DIVISION

STEP TO RAISE FUNDS. There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the W.D.r.U., held yesterday afternoon. Mrs It. H. Buchanan presided. Votes of sympathy with Mesdames H. E. Hocken, J. Stevens and W. H. Bennett, members who had suffered bereavement, were passed. In connection with the Crippled Children Society, the secretary (Airs E. Scott) was appointed to represent the division. It was announced that at the June meeting of the branch Airs Martin would deliver a talk on her travels abroad. Members were invited to bring a friend. At the provincial meeting being held in Alarton this month, Airs H. Beatson was appointed to deputise tor Miss At. Smith. Members were advised that at the monthly meetings a bring nnd buv stall would be conducted in aid of the funds of the division. Atthe next meeting, remits for the annual conference to be held in W ellington will be discussed.
