TWO MOTORISTS REMANDED.
Two remands were granted at a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court to-day, when Mr M. A. Eliott, J.P., was on the Bench. Alfred Arthur Ganderton, slaughterman, aged 26 years, was charged that, on May 4, in King Street,,while in .a . state of intoxication he was in charge of a motor ear and, also, that lie operated a car without a driver’s licence. Stephen Gough, freezing works employee, aged 44, was charged that on May 4, while ill a state of intoxication, he was in charge of a motor-car in King Street and, also, that lie operated a car when not the holder of a driver’s license. ■ - ./ For the police,. Sergeant C. Murphy said -that further inquiries would bp necessary, and his application for a remand till Monday was granted. Bail in each case was fixed at £25 (self), with a surety of £25. '
