JUNIOR LABOUR DANCES.
The first fortnightly dance of the season was held by the Palmerston North Junior Labour Party recently in the Cosmopolitan Hall, which was filled to its capacity. The dance was conducted up to the-high standard achieved during the past two years, the “no pas 9 out” rule being again strictly enforced. A leading professional orchestra supplied modern and old-time music, while the duties of M.C. were efficiently carried out by Mr R. Mo-pan. An exhibition tap dance by Mr G. Dawson was well received by the patrons. Mr Dawson also rendered music for an extra dance during the supper interlude. The spirit of merriment which prevailed in the large gathering right up to the last'waltz indicates that the next dance will be a further social success. An announcement appears in this issue of the next dance, which will be held in the Cosmopolitan Hall on Tuesday,. May 7. The same popular orchestra will render mod-rn and old-time dance music on an equal basis. Further details will lie advertised m Monday’s and Tuesday’s issue
