RESOLUTION AT AIEETING. Per Press Association. AA’ELLINGTON, Alay 3. “I desire to correct a mis-statement that lias appeared in the New Zealand press,” said Mr E-. R. Toop, Dominion president of the' People’s Movement, : to-day. “Through an unfortunate mis-, take in the Press Association telegram, the attendance at the recent Town Hall meeting at AA’ellington last Tuesday was given as 300 instead of 3000. Through the courtesy of the Press As- 1 sociation I would also like onr friends and supporters throughout New Zealand to- know that the following resolution was carried at the conclusion of the meeting: ‘That the speakers lie thanked lor their addresses, which were not only lucid, courageous and instructive, * but also truly inspiring and, further, that this great gathering of citizens representing all parts of New Zealand, -expresses- its admiration of and determination to support tlie People’s Alovement in its positive stand for a democratic and commonsense Government.’: ” ‘ The correct figure of 3000 was published in the “Alanawatu. Standard.”
