NAVAL CONSTRUCTION.
JAPANESE SECRETIVE. WASHINGTON, May 2. The Secretary ot the Navy (Mr C. Edison), at a Press conference, requested Japan to prove the incorrectness of the United States Navy’s information that she was secretly building from eight to twelve dreadnoughts. Mr Edison insisted that it was practically impossible to get information from Japan, and said the United States would be glad to exchange building information with her.
