NAZI AERODROMES. FURTHER R.A.F. RAIDS. BOMBERS DESTROYED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received May 3, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, May 2. The Air Ministry announced at 12.35 p.m.: “The R.A.F. has maintained its pressure on the enemy air bases in Norway and Denmark. Stavanger was bombed twice during the daylight hours yesterday and/this,- together with the aerodromes at Aalborg and Eornebu (Oslo), was heavily bombed during last night. “In tlie course of a night reconnaissance over the southern area of the North Sea one of our aircraft encountered sin enemy seaplane near the island of Nordernev and shot it down into the sea. No losses were suffered m those operations.” - Sent out with the object of observing the damage inflicted by the R.A.F. during the raid on Stavanger, a single Hudson reconnaissance ’plane saw a number of German ’planes parked on tlie aerodrome. The Hudson’s personnel put aside their cameras and considerably improved the picture of havoc with a well-aimed salvo of bombs, which fell on a group of five enemy bombers drawn up between tlie runways. The attack on Tuesday night was the result of one of the strongest Royal Air Force concentrations vet engaged in operations in a single night. Heavy damage was inflicted on the German air bases at Aalborg, Fornebu and Stavanger. A further attack was made yesterday morning on the Stavanger base.
