SEASON'S FIXTURES.

WARTIME POLICY. REPRESENTATIVE' LIST. • Per Press Association. ' ... L > . WELLINGTON, May 2. The'recommendation of the council of the New. Zealand Kuglry Union that .no international tours, ltanfurly Shield matches, Prince of Wales Cup matches or inter-island matches be played duration of the war.was carried at the' annual meeting of the New Zealand Union 1 to-day. A further recommendation that no organised tours* be undertaken bv unions, and that inter-prbvificial matches l>e confined to weekend, home and home and holiday matches, was defeated. Delegates were that unions ..were ICO per cent, behind the Government and the country in the ,war effort, and that nothing would be clone to prejudice recruiting. At the same time it was considered that unions would not, undertake tours without giving the issues involved every consideration, and that to leave the question to the good sense of the unions was the most satisfactory course to adopt. To facilitate footballers who have joined the forces and who may be transferred from their’ homes to a military camp in another district being able 1 to play in football matches without the delay caused by securing transfers and clearances, it was decided to suspend clafise 2 of Pule 45. This means that all memlx-rs of the forces may play ‘in any competition without complying with the residential qualification and securing the usual transfers and clearances. It was decided that it be a recommendation to the council to abandon the system of trials as carried out last season in favour of a system of regional trials which, applied in the selection of the 1924 All Blacks.
