“FIFTH COLUMN NAZIS.”
YUGOSLAVIA ACTS. LONDON, April 24. The arrest of Dr. Milan Achimevic, the former chief of the Yugoslavian police and former Minister for the Interior under the Premiership of Dr. Stovadinovitch, who was arrected last Friday, is the latest dramatic turn in the Balkans' efforts to frustrate the Nazi “fifth column.” Dr. Achimevic has been banished to ltogatica, in Bosnia.
The correspondent of the Daily Telegraph at Belgrade says that Dr. Achimevic used terrorist methods to influence the 1938 elections,, and was the founder of the Radical Party, which was designed to cloak Dr. fcjtoyadinovitch’s pro-German intrigues. The correspondent of the Times at Belgrade says that police raided the premises of the Deutsche Knltur Bund and seized important documents. More than 100 Germans have been expelled.
