DESTROYER BLOWN UP.
VICTIM OP BOMBS.
REPORT FROM NAMSOS. Received May 2, 10.40 a.m. LONDON, Mayn. ' The British United Press Stockholm correspondent says the Germans have withdrawn from Roros and taken up positions southward of the town. The Norwegian patrols are reported to be pursuing. The Svenska Dagbladet says a British destroyer was blown up during German raids throughout the day at Namsos on April 30. The whole ship disintegrated when the magazine exploded, and scores of marines and sailors, were killed. The Germans lost two 'planes. A German High Command communique claims that eight British machines were brought down at Stavanger (says a Press Association message). It admits slight damage at ITornebu and says one British 'plane was shot down. It adds that a cruiser, destroyer, and five transports were sunk by bombs at Namsos and that one heavy cruiser and five transports were seriously damaged. It is officially stated in London that His Majesty's minesweeper Dunoon has been sunk by a mine. Three officers and 24 ratings are feared to have -been lost.
