CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW. ■ MARTON, April -30. There was a’ splendid display of blooms at the Marton chrysanthemum show hold on Tuesday, and competition proved keen in all classes. The champion bloom was Mr R. Svcndsen’s (Feilding) chrysanthemum Carrie White. In the amateur class, Mr Svcndeen gained three firsts, and two second plaeings. Special awards were made to tho following: Challenge cup for roost points gained in chrysanthemums (amateur classes) : Mr R. Svendsen. Silver challenge cup for moot points gained in amateur, intermediate, and novice classes -for chrysanthemums for local growers: Miss I. Robins. Points prize in novice class of chrysanthemums: Miss Robins. Champion bloom: Mr Svendsen. Points prize in cut flowers: Mrs Fyfe. Points priz.e, decorative: Mrs M. R. Whale. Points prize in vegetables : Mr W. Taylor. Points prize in cooking and homo industries: Mrs W. Emerson. Stallholders were: Junction, Mrs J. Miscall and Mrs W. Moss; apron, Mrs W. A. Sawyer and Mrs S. W. Osborn; baby’s, Mrs H. Nicol, Mrs P. M. Frederick and Mrs G. Frederick; produce, Missed'lngle, McEwen, Jenkins and Gibbs; gardening, Mrs Davidson and Miss Duncan; sweets, Bible class, girls; fancy, Mrs G. Frankc, Mrs G. B. Gregory, Mrs M. Wvsocki, r.nd Miss Lorimer; bran-tub, Miss I. Parkinson.
