At football last Saturday, on the local ground, Bimnythorpo 19 beat Fcilcting Old Boys 6. Air and Aim R. Stewart and Air T. Parscoo are visiting Auckland. The deatli of Mrs J. Print; lias removed a settler who resided in Bimnythorpo for more tban 40 years. Mrs Print and her Inislmncl saw many changes in the district. Sonic years ago they sold their farm and retired to Palmerston' North, retired to live in Palmerston North. The annual meeting of flic Miniature Rifle Club took place on April 29, Mr P. Cox presided and gave an outline of tlio activities lust year. Ho referred to another handsome cup presented by Mr W. Whit laker and to tlio work of the secretary. (Mr H. Bailey). The balance-sheet showed a credit of £lO 15s. The following officers were appointed. Patron, Mr ,A. 11. Faulkner;..president, Mr F. Cox; vice-presi-dents, Messrs W. B. ■ Du'thio, A. J. Gulpin, E, K. ltanson, J.. Scliidt, auditor, Mr Duthic; secretary, Mr Bailey; club captain, Air A. Pederson, range officer, Air H. Hughes; committee, Messrs B. Ros.cnbrook,. 1-1. Hughes, and 0. Wiggins. At a meeting of the Wbakarongo and Biinnythorpe Calf Club Pool tlio progress of, the pool ■ was / outlined by Air Hastings and the balance-sheet submitted. It was decided to carry on the same as last year. At a meeting of’the Patriotic Committee tlio secretary presented the balance-sheet, to the last function, which showed receipts £B2 8s 2d and expenditure £7 8s 2d, leaving a credit of £75. Votes of thanks were accorded nil who assisted, especially tlio Young Farmers’ Club and the secretary (Airs A. 11. Faulkner).
