THE BIBLE IN CHINA.
The war in China, with its fearful conditions, has actually brought a bigger demand for Bibles, and the British and Foreign Bible Society reports that the times are peculiarly opportune for successful work by colporteurs there, j Last year the society employed 375 I colporteurs in China, and together they, sold 2,373,971 copies of the Scriptures. Friends of the society in New Zealand contributed £7Bl to a special colporteur fund, which was equivalent to the support of 25 men.
