BRITAIN AND GERMAN PEOPLE. Received May 1, 10.55 a.m. LONDON, April 30. Mr Chamberlain, in the Houso of Commons, replying to a suggestion that British statements of policy should avoid tho complete i dentine ation of tho German people with the German Government, pointed out that the Allies had not any vindictive designs against the German people. Nevertheless, tho German people must realise their responsibilities lor prolonging the war and for the sufferings it would bring them.
