Duriug the financial year ended March 31 exports were valued at £59,643.000, which represents an increase of £1.776,000 compared with the total for 1938-39, but is £5.365,000 below that for 1937-38. Imports for the latest twelve months at £45,571,000, show a decrease of £8,838,000 compared with those for 1938-39. and arc £12.494,000 below those for 1937-38. The excess of exports for the financial year ended March was £14,072,000, as against £3,458,000 for 1938-39 and £6,943,000 for 1937-38.
