BUSINESS GIRLS’ CLUB.

DANCE FOR MAORI BATTALION. A pleasant dance, arranged by the committee of the Business Girls’ Club, was held on Saturday evening, w-heii thirty or forty members of the Maori Battalion were entertained. Dance music was played by Mr and Mrs D. Prince, extras being contributed by several of the guests. Mr J. Selwyn was M.C., and the chaperones w-ere Mesdames W. T. Royal and E. Anderson. Committee members present were Misses D. Newth (secretary), J. Ladyman, G. Bates, V. Royal, C. Boddy, M. Anderson and A. ICerslake. Miss Newtli wished the visitors “God-speed” and a safe return. Lieutenant Porter returned thanks.
