SICK AND WOUNDED FUND.
Arrangements wero made at a meeting, on Monday, called by the joint committee of the Red Cross and the Order of St. John, to launch the Palmerston North effort in aid of the Sick and Wounded Fund on May 12, when a church parade will be arranged. Mr G. Tremaine was elected chairman and Mr A. G. F. Law-son organising secretary. The appeal will take several forms, much on. tho same lines as the Fighting Services Appeal.
