The same targets- will he used as for last year. It was left to the executive committee to make arrangements for the section competitions in accordance with changed conditions brought about by the war. The annual report stated that keen competition was produced in _ all contests and in several instances this resulted in shoot-offs being necessary in no fewer than four individual competitions and ill one team shoot. Twelve clubs competed in the association matches throughout the season and with club membership well maintained no defaults were recorded in inter-club matches. The report records the championship results and states that it is advisable that a revised method of conducting the competition bo seriously considered. After setting out tbe list of trophy winners and aggregates (already published) the report adds: “Although reports from clubs promise a fairly successful season we will be entering on it with no small degree of uncertainty. Conditions brought about by the advent of the war will materially alrcct our activities in two ways; first, the petrol restrictions may cause uncertainty in regard to travelling, winch is an important matter in a widely spread association such as ours, and. secondly, the probability of an uncertain supply of ammunition. It may be necessary to reorganise the various competitions to oope with the situation.”
