BARONET IMPRISONED. Received April 27, 11 a.m. LONDON, April 2G. Sir Curtis George Lampoon was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment at the Old Bailey lor inciting a young man to offer an inducement to obtain. a commission in the army. A business man, Isaac Belson. pleaded guilty to a similar charge and was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment. Sir Curtis Lampson, F.R.G.S., F.Z.S., the third baronet, who was born in 1890. is a traveller and explorer. lie has explored French Central West Africa and the Lybian Desert and has also visited Lithuania, Latvia and Esthonia under the' auspices of the governments of those countries to study agrarian reform and the Vilna question. He has lectured on both subjects in England and America. In the Great War he served with the Somerset Light Infantry and was a captain in the motor transport in Egypt.
