Airs Aitchison pointed out that it was still necessary to raise money for indigent mothers and children. It was emphasised that payment for the roses was not a fixed amount, but any silver coin, and there’ was no expense attached for the making of the roses. A suggestion was advanced that the day be field this year and consideration be given later to whether future appeals should be carried on during the war, when the response of the public had been gauged. This was eventually decided on. As Alothers’ Day will fall on Alav 12. the street sole will he held on AI a’v 10. Various arrangements for the making of the roses wore discussed, the secretary (Airs Aitchison) undertaking to procure the materials.
