ITALIAN DEFENCES
AGAINST GERMANY. SUGGESTIVE MOVE. A PEO-ALLIES TURN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received April 26, 11.25 a.m. LONDON, April 25. Italy’s position remains most intriguing, an additional factor now be ing that Italy is digging trenches along the Austrian but not the French borders. Though this should not be over-empha-sised there are indications of better Anglo-Italian relations. The Italian Press is giving more publicity to British war communiques. Italy’s position is complicated ’by the constant pressure exerted by Hitler on Signor Mussolini.
