Mr G. IV. Albertson (Director of Housing Construction) has been appointed Building - Controller. "Wing-Commander E. G. Olson, R.N.Z.A.F., has been appointed Air Force member for personnel on tbe Air Board. Rev. Gardner Miller, of Christchurch, who was the speaker at the Anzac Day commemoration service in Pahnorston North, was the guest ol Mr and Mrs IV. J. Rutherfurd. He returned south last night. Mr J. H. Hall (Deputy-Director of Publicity), who has been appoint a' official war correspondent with the New Zealand forces overseas, was farewelled on Wednesday by the staff of the Prime Minister’s Department, and presented with appropriate gifts. In celebration of Mr Lloyd George’s 50tli anniversary as a member of Parliament, the Liberal Party entertained him to a private dinner at the House of Commons. Mr Lloyd George was accompanied by his son and daughter, both of whom are members of Parliament.—British Official Wireless. The death occurred at Blenheim, yesterday, of Veil Archdeacon A. S. in ties-Jones, formerly Archdeacon of Rangitikei, aged 81. Born at Dornley (Derbyshire) in 1859, Archdeacon Innes-Jones received his education at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and arrived in Now Zealand, in 1883. He was ordained a deacon tho following year, and a priest in ISS7. He was appointed vicar of Recfton in 18S6. Richmond 1889. Bulls 1890. and Feilding 1893 In 1921 ho went to Roseneatli. In 1915 he was appointed Archdeacon of Rangitikei. Archdeacon Innes-Jones made a wide circle of friends in the Manawatu and Rangitikei districts who will regret to learn of his passing. Mrs Innes-Jones predeceased him some tiihe ago. Archbishop Sinikin, who has been appointed Bishop of Auckland, will bo 57 years of age in June. Born at Rugeley, near Lichfield. Staffordshire, he was educated at the Theological College in that city, and admitted to the dcaconate in 1908. He was ordained the following "year, and came to New Zealand in 1911. and was appointed vicar of Wairoa. Hawke’s Bay. Eight years later he was appointed archdeacon of Hawke’s Bay, superintendent of the Maori Mission there, and secretary of the Diocese of Waiapu. In 1926 he became secretary of the Auckland Diocese, and provincial secretary of tho General Synod, also Archdeacon of Manukau. Ho is a recognised authority on the constitution and canon law of the Church in the Dominion.
