MAGISTRATE’S COURT
The fortnightly sitting of the Magistrate’s Court in Feilding was held yesterday, Mr It. M. Watson, S.M., presiding.' For being found on licensed premises after hours, P. Fenwick, It. C. Trask, It. N. Raven, T. Gibbs, were each fined £1 10s, with costs lCs. Sergeant E. H. Turner prosecuted. For crossing the Kimbolton Road level railway crossing when an engine was approaching, A. It. Baker, was fined 16s, with costs 10s. Defendant, who pleaded guilty, in his letter to the Court’ said ho had no intention of beating the train. He had continued moving in. fear that if ho stopped ho would be caught on the line. In entering a conviction the Magistrate remarked that the crossing was a dangerous one, which should receive the attention of the authorities.
