(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, April 22. A frost fish, sft. long, has been found on the Otaki beach, the first of the season. Members of the Girl®’ Life Brigade recently sat for their hobbies and knot-tying badges. Of twenty members offering all passed in the former, while only two failed in the knot-tying. The following have been elected as members of All’Saints’ vestry: Vicar’s warden, Mr R. Bills; people’s warden, Mr G. Evans; vestry, Mrs Swabey, Messrs F. and M. Simcox, Critchley, D. Allen, W. Wills', \Y. Hall, J. Stone and W. Wilson. At the annual meeting of the R.S.A. the resignation of Mr F. Southgate, who has been transferred to Wellington, was accepted with regret. General Young was re-elected president, and Mr H. Jepson secretary. Mrs Swensson, one of Olaki’s oldest identities, and mother of Mr T. W. Swensson, of Longburn, celebrated her 83rd birthday recently, when she was entertained by a number of friends. Miss Hilda Manz, who has attained her 21« t, birthday, entertained a number of friends at the ITautere Hall. Mr F. Fitzgerald was entertained by the Rahui Football Club. Rev. Victor Mead, who has been stationed at Fitz.roy (New Plymouth) and has been appointed to the Methodist Church at Otaki. was inducted last week, when Rev. R. B. Gosnell, of Wellington, officiated.
