WOMEN'S WORLD
Misses P. O'Donnell and B. Millar, of Palmerston North, were week-end visitors to Wellington. Mrs R. Hangar, who has been the guest of Mrs C. A. Gaitt, of ltongopai Street, has returned home to Wellington. Mrs -J. W. Nairn, of “Wharemata,” Makino, who has been staying with Mrs G. D. Battle, of I* erguson Street, has returned home. Mr and Mrs H. Walker, Mr and Mrs T. J. Hill and Mrs J. Morgan were Palmerston North visitors to Wellington for the Trotting Club’s autumn meeting on Saturday. Miss Nancy .Northcroft, younger daughter of Hon. Mr Justice Northcraft. and Mrs Northcroft, of Christchurch, received official advice on Friday that she had passed the final stage for the degree of bachelor of architecture. Her success also entitles her to become an associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects. She has the distinction of being the only woman architect in the South Island, and the fourth to qualify in the Dominion. It is six years since the first woman qualified in New Zealand.
