GENERAL NEWS.
POPPY DAY. Organised by Alessrs F. J. Allen and D. Donaldson on behalf of tlie Eeikling R.S.A.. and ably assisted by a number of ladies, the sales of poppies yesterday resulted in the raising of £142, as against £IIG last year. Euchre Evenings. The Oroua Bowling Club is commencing a scries of euchre evenings 10-niorrow at 8 p.ni., in the Oddfellows’ llall. Similar functions proved highly successful Inst year and it is hoped that tlie attendances will be as good again this season. Good prizes and supper are provided.
