NO NEWS CAUSES SUSPICION. LONDON. April 12. Anxiet.v is replacing the jubilation which reigned in Germany over the initial successes of the invasion of Denmark and Norway, reports front Rotterdam state. Lack of information and the parsimonious officials news bulletins are creating suspicions of possible ill news. Bare statements that “the occupation is going-according to plan.” and that reinforcements are proceeding to Norway “rogtiarly” do not satisfy the people, who realise that hard fighting is proceeding. Germans newspapers have moderated their earlier reports. The Berliner Boersen-Zeitung points out that “no success comes easily. It must he earned by hard fighting.” _ The Deutsche Allgemeinc Zeitung considers that “the hour calls for iron resolve.” The most frequent official proclamations consist of repeated warnings against believing “alarming and scandalous rumours broadcast by the Allied wireless.”
