HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

The annual chrysanthemum show will be hold in the Empire Hall on Saturday, April 27. Members ‘of the Chrysanthemum Club and others have been tending thenplants with great care ,and attention, and it is hoped that success in the form ol beautiful blooms will be their reward. There are sections for all grades of growers. For members of the club the Stidolph Shield and the Grey Cup should invite keen competition. In single chrysanthemums the Sadie Cup will no doubt attract many entries. There is a section for other seasonal flowers; one for vegetables and fruit. The decorative sections cater for the ladies—one section being for exhibitors who have not won more than five first prizes in the adult section. Schedules are obtainable at florists.
