LATE MR G. E. TREVOR.
There was a very large attendance at the funeral on Thursday afternoon, of Mr G. E. Trevor, aii oamts’ Church was filled for the service, which was conducted by Canon G. Y. Woodward. The first sentences of the burial service were said as the procession reached the west door and moved into the church. During this time Handel’s music, “I Know That My Redeemer Liveth,” was played. The hymn “Abide With Me” and the 23rd Psalm were also sung. A long cortege moved from the church to the cemetery, those present including many representatives of organisations with which Mr Trevor had been associated, business connections and representatives of sporting and racing bodies. Many beautiful floral tributes were received. The bearers were six foremen of works on which the building firm of which Mr Trevor was the head was engaged at the time of his death.
