At u meeting of the management committee of the ilorowhenua Rugby Union, Mr W. Hannan presided. In connection with a letter written to the Shannon Club regarding the R-ams-botliam Cup, which allegedly was still in the possession of that club. Mr Hannan staled that on enquiry be had discovered that the cup was at an ■ engraver’s and that the Shannon Club could not be held blameworthy in the matter. N. llupakuku of the Wanderers’ Club, who bad been ordeied off the field in the Air Force A versus Wanderers match on the previous Saturday appeared before the committee. The referee stated that the player had been ordered off for striking another player. Hnpakuku admitted the offonce under provocation. It was resolved that ho he suspended lor one playing Saturday. The secretary of the union (Mr J. B. Bateman) introduced tlie question of issuing a challenge for the Bebbington Shield early in the present season. ’ It was cided to defer consideration of the proposed challenge until after the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union. It was resolved further that the union’s delegate to the annual meeting of tho Now Zealand Union (Mr W. Hannan) bo asked to support the playing of all shield games during the war should such matter come before the annual meeting for consideration. A lengthy discussion took place regarding tho charges for admission to matches under the jurisdiction of the union of men who were units in uniform of the lorces. It was decided to hold the matter over, preferably till after the annual meeting of the New Zealand Union, in order to ascertain the procedure of other unions and receive the guidance of the parent bodv. The fixtures for next Saturday are: Senior. —Wanderers v. Air Force B, at Levin Domain, Mr L. G. Campbell; Athletic v. Foxton, at Easton Park, FlightSergeant Moynihan; United v.
