LONDON, April 16. To-day’s stock indices compiled by the Financial Times with previous quotations are (October 15, 1926, e&uals 100) : Govt. Home Indus- Gold
The number of sheep and lambs pastured in the United States at January 1 was 54,473,000,/an increase of 690,000 on tho total at the corresponding dale last year. Numbers in the States keep very steady. Tlie average for tho 10-year period 1929 to 1933 was 52,338,000. In 1914, American flocks were 51,482,000, but by 1922 they had declined to 37,205,000.
