■ Misses C. anil G. Cameron, of Balt Street,.: arc .at present in Wellington. Mrs W. H. Pike has returned to Palmerston North after spending a week with her daughter, Mrs E. H. Leech, of Hataitai, 'Wellington. Mrs R. Davis was a Palmerston North visitor to Wellington for the Trotting Club’s autumn meeting yesterday. Mrs S. J. Bennett, of Worcester Street, was a visitor to Wellington yesterday for the conference of Co-op-erative Women’s Guilds. Mrs J. Seddon, of Dunedin, while staying with her sister, Mrs Penman, O! Eeatherston Street had the misfortune to fall and break a leg, as reported earlier, and is now an inmate of the Hospital. Another sister, Mrs W. Harley, of Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs Penman. Members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society met a.t their room recently to say farewell to one of their members, Mrs McGilvray, late of Palm Avenue, who left Palmerston North on Monday to take up her residence in her home town of Blenheim. Aiternoon tea was served by the members, and later in the afternoon the guest of honour was presented with a bouquet and a crystal yase by Nurse Binder on behalf of the members. Mrs McGilvray was the guest at several functions last week.
