A small administrative block at the Nelson A. and P. Showgrounds used by the association and Jockey and Trotting Clubs was destroyed by fire yesterday. The building was used on Monday in connection with the Nelson races. —Press Association. Shortly after 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon 'about 300 children from the Taranaki schools passed through Palmerston North on their return journey from Wellington, where they visited the Exhibition.
