LABOUR REGIME

VISITOR’S CLAIMS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 10. In an interview, Mr Forgan Smith (Premier of Queensland) said Queensland had the highest wages, lowest cost of living, and the fewest unemployed of any State of Australia. The improvoment in industrial conditions and the increased national income were a direct result of planned development of the State. There was a great affinity between the Labour Governments of Queensland and New Zealand. Queensland was watching the New Zealand developments with considerable interest. “I have noticed a big improvement in the general outlook and conditions of the people of this country since T was here twelve years ago,” said Mr Smith.
