GARRISON BAND.
The Garrison Band, on Sunday afternoon at the Esplanade, presented another popular programme. The afternoon being beautifully fine, there was a fairly large crowd present, and much appreciation was shown. The band is in particularly good form at the present time, being at full strength, and it presented the various numbers with much taste, fine tone, and was very tuneful. A feature of the programme was the rendition of the cornet duet “Ida and Dot” by Bandsmen A. Gray and A. Lester. The other items presented under the conductorship of Air H. T. Guthrie were: March, “Honest Toil” (Rimmer); hvimi “Roberta” (Broadhcad); intermezzo', “Silver Sails” (Nichols), march, “Gladiator” (Sousa); song march, “Sussex by the Sea” (Higgs); waltz, ‘"Stories of Vienna Forest” (Strauss); fox trot, “Grandma Said” (Denham); march, “The Cossack” (Rimmer),
