APPLE FOODSTUFFS
ITALIAN REPORT DENIED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 14. Currency lias been given in the Italian Press to a report that because of the German invasion of Norway and the occupation of Denmark there is a gravo shortage of food in Britain. It was added that it had become necessary immediately to ration butter, eggs, and margarine. The facts are that the butter ration was increased about a fortnight ago to Soz weekly a person, and, as already announced, it was officially stated immediately after Denmark was _ occupied that there was no intention of reducing the ration. Margarine is not rationed, and there is no intention of rationing it. Eggs, which at present are cheaper than they have been for some time, are not rationed, and there is no intention to ration them. Since April pork has been free of ration.
