RATIONAL PARTY
FEILDING BRANCH OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Feilding branch of the New Zealand National Party was held last evening, Mr A. Campbell presiding. The resignation of the secretary (Mr E. Woodhead) was received with regret. The chairman said Mr Woodhead had given good service and it was because of the fact that lie had been transferred that he bad given up the position. Mr Campbell expressed his thanks for the confidence placed in him in his re-election as president. He said he would do all in his power to keep the flag of the National Party flying. Strenuous times may lie ahead, and it would be necessary for a strong committee to be set up. Although Hon. J. G. Cobbe bad not officially stated that lie would not seek re-election, lie was prepared to give place to a younger man if one suitable was forthcoming.
