LOWER HOSPITAL RATE.

Per Press Association. AY ELLINGTON. April 10. Principally owing to the operation of the Social Security Act, which became effective so far as hospital benefits are concerned on July 1 last year, a reduction of approximately fS per cent has been made by the AYellingtoil Hospital Board in the amount proposed to be levied on local bodies for both caoital and maintenance purposes for 1940-41. The reduction is Li 8,023 14s lOd.
