FOXTON BEACH.
PLAN FOR IMPROVEMENT. The progress which has been made in negotiations for improvements at Foxton Beach were reported on at the meeting of the Manawatu Automobile Association last evening. . It was reported that the special committee (Messrs Hoi ben Brown, Morton and the secretary Mr_b. 1. McKenzie) had waited on the Foxton Harbour Board and had asked that the question of improving the loxtoi camp site be considered and that certain improvements should be earned out. The Harbour Board had been most sympathetic and indicated that it desired to do all it possibly could. Arrangements were subsequently made for the special committee to meet the Beach Improvement Committee and this meeting took place at Foxton Beach, when similar representations were made to the Beach Improvement Society, after which the meeting and the deputation carried out a comprehensive inspection ot the camp site. After the inspection it was arranged that a special committee ot two representatives from the Beach Improvement Society and two representatives from the Automobile Association should he set up to draw up plans for the improvements that should he effected immediately. The Beach Improvement Society had indr catod that It appreciated the help and assistance given by the association and was anxious to carry out the improvements suggested. The report was adopted and it was arranged that Mr Holben would in due course submit a supplementary report giving details of improvements.
