At the City Tatlcrsall’s Club races at Randwiek on Saturday, the chief results wore: — DENMAN STAKES.—Anno. 7.2- (Whityen) 1; Pentbides, 8.1, 2; Radical, 7.11, 3. Ton started. Time, 1.14 a. TATTERSALL'S GOLD CUP, of £IOOO and gold cup valued at £IOO. One mile and three furlouge.—Billposter, 7.10 (Hughes) and Santa, 7.0, dead heat. 1; Piutus, 7.10, 3. St. Constant was scratched. Plutus was two lengths behind the winners. Time. 2.30 The dead heat created an awkward situation in regard to the destination of the cup value at £IOO unices the owners come to a mutual arrangement. It is quitcly likely they will tose for it. WIN FOR AURIK’S STAR. MELBOURNE. April 14. At the Ascot raece the results included: — ECLIPSE STAKES—Auric’s Star, 10.0 (Dcwhurst) 1; Kaolin, 8.2, 2; Birdpiay, 8.6, 3. Fifteen started. Time, 1.131. (Other sporting news appears on page 10.)
