EFFECTS ON TRADE.
NEAV YORK, April 11. The AA'ashington correspondent of the Now A’ork Times says that American export trade valued at nearly 200 000 000 dollars and import trade of 82 000.000 dollars is at stake in the war for possession of Scandinavia. An announcement made bv the British Treasury draws attention to the fact that the trading with the enemy legislation applies to “any areas, in the occupation of a Power with whom His Majesty is at war” (states the British Ofijcia! Wireless). AA’hile, therefore. the legislation does not apply to Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands Denmark, lieing in German occupation, conies under the prohibition. (
