TANKER TORPEDOED.

OFF SCOTTISH COAST. LONDON, April 12. Tlie big Swedish tanker Sveaborg (9000 tons), returning home from the United States laden with petrol, was sunk off the Scottish coast. The crew wore saved. The owners understand she was torpedoed. Daventry states that the tanker, Sweden’s largest, was torpedoed by a German U-boat. Thirty-four, believed to be the entire complement, were landed on the Scottish coast.
