DANCERS’ SUCCESS

Miss June Scott and her pupils have met with gratiiying success at ihe various sports meetings held in recent mouths, 'l o date Aiiss Scott has secured 30 first prizes, 7 seconds, three North Island championships and eight cups, including the Centennial Cup. All were won in the open classes. Miss Dorothy McLean, aged 10 years, a pupil of Miss Scott, won 22 firsts, 2 seconds. 5 thirds, one gold medal and two cups, including a championship cup for the sword dance. She was also highly commended in another open championship. Ollier pupils of Miss Scott who have met with considerable success are: Joy Burrell, aged 7 years, 13 firsts, 12 seconds and 11 thirds, seven medals and two cups; John McMillan, aged 7 years, 4 firsts, 9 seconds, 5 thirds, four medals and one cup; Betty Simpson, aged lo years, 1 first, 7 seconds, 1 l thirds; Yvonne Bulky, aged 16 years. 1 first, 1 second and 3 thirds; Joan Lynch, aged 14 years, 1 first, 1 second and 1 third; Until McDowall. aged 10 years, 9 firsts. 10 seconds, o thirds and a medal won for most points in an under 14 class; Isabel Anderson, aged 10 years. 1 first. I second. 2 thirds; Florence Woodrnnfo, aged 10 years, o firsts. 10 see onds. 3 thirds, six medals and three cups; Soma Hep worth, aged 11 years, o firsts. 11 seconds. 6 thirds and various trophies; Mavis Gannawav, aged 11 years. 10 firsts, 7 seconds, 13 thirds, one medal and four cups.
