NATIONAL PARTY CLUB

The National Party Club rooms wore decorated with Michaelmas daisies and pom-pom dahlias for the monthly bridge party, of the women’s section of the Palmerston North National Party, which, on account of the largo numbers, extended over Thursday and Friday. Twenty-two tables were occupied at play, several parties being also hold in private homes. At the conclusion of play Mrs D. Pilack (convener of the social committee) presented the prizes donated by members to the following:—-Mesdamcs J. Cliff and W. M. Tapp (contract), Mesdamcs G. Stevens and. Snelling (auction). Mrs Black thanked ail those who had contributed to the success of the party. Other committee members were Mesdaines K. 0. Clayton, G. C. Keehie, A. M. Palmer, H. G. Mills, J. H. Whyte and R. Davis, and Miss C. Warburton was in charge of afternoon tea with helpers.
