MAGISTRATE’S COURT
TRAFFIC CASES. The fortnightly sitting of the Alagistrate’s Court was Held yesterday, Mr R. AI. Watson, S.M., presiding. Failure to possess a warrant of .fitness lor his car cost E. M. Meyriek, of Ridgelands, Feilding, a fine of £l, with costs 10s. Prosecuted by Inspector D. Af. Ford, ou belialf of the Transport Department, H. Beatson. lorry driver, Feilding, was fined 10s, with 10 s costs, on a charge of failing to carry a consignment note. R. Duncan, contractor. of Eketahuna, was . fined 15s, with costs, on each of two similar charges; charged with a breach of a temporary goods service license, defondant was fined £l. M. Tvellv, cheesemaker, of Opunake, was fined £l, with costs 12s, for failing to dip his lights. Air AI. J. Hartigan, inspector for the Transport Department, prosecuted. Annie Meehan, of Feilding, proceeded against I. Linton, of Feilding, claiming possession of premises occupied l>y defendant, and arrears of rent. Afr R. C. Cullinane appeared for plaintiff. An order for possession was granted, the tenant being given lour weeks in which to find another house. An order for arrears of rent, £lO 16s, plus costs £3 Is, was also made.
