BIG RECOVERY

YIELD OF DAIRY PRODUCE. CHELTENHAM CO.’S FIGURES. Til common with other dairy factories in the Manawatu district, the production at the Cheltenham dairy factory has shown a substantial upward tendency in the past two months, due jto the favourable autumn weather and jtlie resultant abundance of feed. The ijirosout season at its commencement did not look very promising, and in the early months (and in fact up till January) the output was not maintained at its usual rate owing to the lack of growth and consequent poor yield. From January onward, however, the output has steadily increased and last month the increased production represented a 50 per cent, rise, or 75 tons more butter manufactured than in March, 1930. Despite the poor results at the beginning of tho season the Cheltenham Dairy Company now estimates that the production for the present season will lie a shade better than last year’s.
