BARON BIRDWOOD RETIRING. Received Februarv 1, 9.35 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 31. Baron Birdwood is retiring from the mastership of Peterhouse, which he has held since 1931, at the end of the summer. He is now aged 73. Masters of colleges at Cambridge usually retire at the age of 70. The fact is gazetted that Lord Birdwood will take the Title of Baron Birdwood of Anzac and Totnes.
