DROWNING TRAGEDY.
YOUNG MAN’S DEATH. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Jan. 31. A young man, Hugh Donald Hanley, was drowned at Balclutlia to-day. He left home at 2.30 p.m. to go lor a swim, and at 5.45 his clothes were found by a pool on the Clutha River. Police searched for the body, which was recovered at 7.45 in 10 feet of water. Deceased, who was single and employed by the Railway Department as a surfaceman, was not a good swimmer.
