Prices easier. Hemp.—Manila: Market is dull and depressed. Nominal in the absence of demand. “K” grade January-Mareh, MarchMay shipment quoted sellers £2l 10s. Sisal: Market easier. Pressed forAelc but little business reported. No. 1 February-, April shipment quoted seller* £l6 15s. May-July, June-August shipments sold £l7. New Zealand; Market nominal; no business reported. Apples.—Market slow, owing to heavy quantities and imported prices lower. Hood River Newtown Piopin apples, 6s 6d, 11s; Rome Beauty apples. 7s 6d. 8s; British Columbia Delicious, 7s 9d, 9s 6d; .Jonathan apples, 8s 6d. 9s 6d; Newtown Pippin apples, 6s 6d, 8s 6d. Pears. Market weaker. Californian Dayennc due Cornice, 14s, 16s; Winter Nclis, 11s 6d, 14s; Oregon Buerre Bcsc pears, 6s, 11s.
