(From Our Own Correspondent.) TANGIMOANA, Jan. 26. The opening of the Tangimoana tennis courts was a great success. Mr J. Linklater declared the courts opened. He particularly. mentioned that, the laic Mr McKclvic, in whose memory the courts are erected, was a true sportsman and assisted in every way to foster all games. Results: —First round: Miss J. Butler and T; D, Scott beat Castle and Miss D. Burnc 15— 10, H. Grant and Mies M. Hunter beat J. W. Scott and Miss Fitches 15—13. Miss Glasgow and T. Burn drew with Miss J. Mason and H. Robson 15 —15. Miss E. Knox and M. Moffatt lost to Mr and Mrs A. Ball 10—5, R. Scott and Mrs J. Scott beat Miss P. Duffy and G. Hill 23—9, Mrs Grant and H. Godfrey beat Miss D Sinclair and D. Burne 17—15, Miss M. Scott and H. A’Conrt heat Miss J. Sinclair and X. Scott 21—14, Miss R. Stuart and J. Gibbons beat Miss B. Gibbons and A. Hill 22—8, -Miss It. Hill and P. Ilaneen beat Miscs A. Sinclair and J. Scott 19—12; second round, Miss Scott and Bail beat Miss Knox and G. Hill 23—7, Miss Butler and Robson beat -Miss Burne 'and Moffatt 17— 16, Miss Fitches and H. A’Court heat Miss Stuart and J. Gibbons 20—10, Mrs Grant and Hill beat ill’s J. Scott and Castle 16— 14. Miss Hunter and Godfrey beat Miss O.
