UNLAWFULLY ON RACECOURSE. “These cases are becoming too fre quent.’’ commented Mr J. L. Stout S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, in fining several defendants who were charged with being found_ unlawfully on a racecourse during the progress of a race meeting when they were excluded by the regulations un der the Gaming Act. Charged with being found on the Marton racecourse on January 3, Allan William Whyte, who was stated previously to have been convicted'-"of theft, was fined £5, with 10s costs. A similar penalty was imposed on Elbert Hubbard, who was found on the Otaki racecourse on December 4.
